TE Ranks

Rankings reflect rest-of-season value and were updated on September 14th

1. Jimmy Graham - Graham is by far the best option in the Saints receiving game, and the next best option Marques Colston is an injury risk. Brees loves his TE's so expect big things to continue.
2. Aaron Hernandez - Call his ranking a bit of a gut call. I think Gronk is a little over rated and defenses may key into him even more. Hernandez is a favorite red zone target of Tom Brady's, so I expect a huge season from him.
3. Rob Gronkowski - I think Gronk and Hernandez will finish very close in the rankings this year. I just think the scales will balance out between the two with defenses keying in on Gronk.
4. Antonio Gates - Health is going to remain a concern all season. He tried to battle back from a rib injury in Week 1, but not much came of it. He will be Rivers' favorite target all year though.
5. Vernon Davis - If they pass it in the red zone, Davis will likely be on the receiving end. Don't expect high yardage totals this season though.
6. Jermichael Finley - He is a great physical specimen, but something is missing. Things haven't seemed to quite mesh for Finley so far and they should have by now. If Greg Jennings misses time, he may become more involved, but don't expect him to move higher up the rankings than this.
7. Jacob Tamme - Peyton's favorite TE looks to be a solid option all year long.
8. Brandon Pettigrew - The check downs from Stafford are not going to go away since the Lions cannot run the ball. Expect many consistent targets.
9. Jason Witten - He managed to play last week which was surprising. Each week he should get better as he gets more time to heal. Even with 3 solid WR options in Dallas, Witten will get his targets.
10. Jared Cooke - Lets see how defenses react with the return of Kenny Britt. They will most likely have to spend more attention on Britt which means that Cooke could see more open looks.
11. Owen Daniels - What an opening week for Daniels. I sure wasn't expecting 80 some yards. The targets should continue to pile up since there isn't really a reliable #2 option after Andre.
12. Tony Gonzalez - He scored this week in a blow out, but I am still low on him for his full season value. There are too many targets that will go Julio and Roddy's way this year.
13. Fred Davis - I'm still not too sure what to expect from him this season. I think he is a great top 10 candidate, but he only saw 4 targets in Week 1.
14. Jermaine Gresham - He saw plenty of targets against the Ravens, but things just didn't work out. Still decent potential for him this season.
15. Brent Celek - I don't see much of a role expansion or decline for Celek. He should stay right about here in the rankings all season.
16. Kyle Rudolph - Could become the #2 option for Christian Ponder. It looks like he should get plenty of targets, but Ponder's ability to make plays is still yet to be seen.
17. Martellus Bennett - Looked good with his opening night TD last week. His self proclaimed breakout year this season could be starting to materialize. Some solid upside with Bennett.
18. Greg Olsen - Not too much to offer here. Mostly a bye week fill in.
19. Coby Fleener - I like his upside better than Olsen's, but his consistency level may not be quite the same dependent on Luck's struggles.
20. Dustin Keller - The Jets put up 40 some points and Keller managed 1 catch in the game. Sanchez won't have many games like this so its disappointing to see that Keller wasn't even involved a little bit.
